Field staff of the KSEB here complain that reaching a transformer installed near the Municipal Town Hall is a herculean task since the device stands surrounded by waste let out from the town hall.

The linemen have to jump over the waste to reach the transformer whenever they need to.

To let out the waste from the town hall, a deep trench has been dug around the transformer. The sand dug out has been deposited on the sides of the trench. The KSEB personnel have to cross the trench by jumping over to the sand mounds. Though complaints were lodged with the municipal authorities concerned, no measures to correct the situation have been taken.
