Viswam objects to ‘War Cry’

January 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

Communist Party of India leader Binoy Viswam has decried the naming of a cultural event led by actor Mohanlal as ‘War Cry.’

In a statement here on Wednesday, Mr. Viswam said it was inappropriate to name thus a cultural programme to be performed as part of the inaugural ceremony of the National Games. He said all games, including National Games, should give the message of love and friendship.

The organisers should clarify on the choice of such an inappropriate title, he said. — Special Correspondent
