The veteran film actor, Thilakan, faced the ire of Kerala Congress(B) and Congress workers when he lashed out at B.Ganesh Kumar, Pathanapuram MLA and a leader of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) while inaugurating the college union of St. Stephen's College, Pathanapuram this morning.

When the situation became tense, the college authorities whisked him off the stage and took him to a room in concern of his safety. The party workers, however, locked up the room. The SFI intervened at that stage. While the two groups were engaged with each other, the college authorities managed to rescue Thilakan from the room and took him to another safe place. The situation is reported to be under control now.
