Verbal attack on Antony

Achuthanandan stooping too low: Hassan

June 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - THIRUVANANTHPURAM:

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) vice president M.M. Hassan has come down on Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan for his attack on Congress Working Committee (CWC) member A.K. Antony.

In a statement here on Sunday, Mr. Hassan accused Mr. Achuthanandan of having stooped too low by calling Mr. Antony a ‘political midget’. Mr. Achuthanandan, who had no courage to order an inquiry into the corruption charges against his son, had no right to say such things about Mr. Antony, who is a symbol of probity in public life.

Mr. Antony would never have wanted in the school of violence where Mr. Achuthanandan had studied, the Congress leader said. — Special Correspondent
