Ummer Koya award for Zamorin

Zamorin P.K.S. Raja has been selected for the P.P. Ummer Koya Foundation award for the year in recognition of his services towards encouraging communal harmony and national integration as part of social reformation activities. The Zamorin was selected for his contribution to the Heritage project involving renovation of the Tali temple and the Kuttichira Mishkal mosque.

The award, comprising a sculpture, citation and shawl, will be presented by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at the P.P. Ummer Koya commemoration meet to be held at Town Hall here on September 17, a press release said.
