Reiterating that differences of opinion existed between the Communist Marxist Party (CMP) and the United Democratic Front, the party leader M.V. Raghavan said it would not initiate any talks in this direction.

Addressing the media after a Polit Bureau meeting of the CMP, Mr. Raghavan said the UDF government had been cheating the CMP for the past two years.

Decision

Asked if the party would participate in the coming UDF meeting, he said a decision would be taken at the time of meeting.

A central council meeting to be held in two months would decide about the future course of action of the party, Mr. Raghavan said.

Rally

CMP State secretary M.K. Kannan will lead a vehicle rally from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram in protest against the anti-people measures of the Union and the State governments, Mr. Raghavan said.

All Polit Bureau members of the CMP, barring Pattyam Rajan, attended the meeting on Sunday.
