Two sisters found dead in Thrissur

Bodies of two elderly women were found at their residence at nearby Cheroor with stab wounds early this morning, police said.

The deceased are Visalakshmi Amma (78), a retired teacher and her sister Saraswathy (68), both spinsters.

Police suspect that they might have been murdered.

According to the neighbours, they had engaged two coconut-tree climbers yesterday and they were missing since this morning.

Gold ornaments weighing 128 grams and Rs 10,000 were found missing, police said.
