Two pilgrims died of heart attack at Sabarimala on Tuesday, taking the death toll due to cardiac ailments at the pilgrim centre to 34.
According to police, the deceased have been identified as Raghavendra Rao, 73, from Bangalore and Jnanashekhar, 53, of Ilampillai in Salem district of Tamil Nadu.
Mr Rao had developed chest pain while climbing the Appachimedu hill and he died at the Cardiology Centre at Appachimedu in the early hours of Tuesday.
Mr. Jnanashekhar who was taken to the Government Dispensary at the Sannidhanam by the Ayyappa Seva Sanghom volunteers died there on Tuesday afternoon.
The Sanghom volunteers have taken both the bodies to Pampa and from there to Bangalore and Salem.
