Two pilgrims die of cardiac arrest

Two pilgrims died of cardiac arrest at Sabarimala Sannidhanam on Friday, taking the death toll due to cardiac problems at the pilgrim centre during the ongoing annual festival season to 36.

The two deceased were identified as Narasimha Murthy (35) of Upparavasali in Hassan district of Karnakataka and M.Lakshmanan of Achamputhur in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu.

According to Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sanghom stretcher unit captian, Thanchavur Damodaran, both the deaths occurred at the SAHAS Cardiology Centre at the Sannidhanam.

The Sanghom volunteers have taken the bodies to Pampa for transporting them to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in separate ambulances, later.
