The touring talkies, travelling across the State, heralding the arrival of the 15th International Film Festival of Kerala to Thiruvananthapuram in the second week of December, will reach in Kozhikode on November 29.
The talkies will tour the district for five days. Some of the better feature films of the last IFFK (2009), selected films from the international short film and documentary festival of 2010 held in Thiruvananthapuram and some of the world classics in the history of movies, will be screened at different centres in the district during the touring talkies festival.
The talkies will reach at Vadakara on November 29, Meppayur on November 30 and in Kozhikode city on December 1 and 2. It will also tour Mukkom and Thamarassery towns on December 3. Screening will be free of cost.
Ashwini Film Society, ALA, Bankmens’ Film Society, Calicut Press Club Film Society and Saga Film Society among others are cooperating with the tour, which is being held under the aegis of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy and Federation of Film Societies of India.
