A terror suspect from Tamil Nadu, K. Sahul Hameed alias Paravai Badusha was arrested by the Anchal police from Channapetta village on Saturday night where he was living incognito after masterminding a bomb blast in Bangalore last year, the police said. Seventeen persons were injured in the blast.
Badusha, 28, was working as the helper for a butcher, Nazaruddin, at Channapetta.
Officials said Badusha was the son of Khaja Moideen, a resident of Ameenpuram, Melapalayam, Tirunelveli. They said he was on the wanted list of the Tamil Nadu police since November 2013.
He was secretly giving training to terror groups at remote locations in the eastern parts of Kollam, the police said. The training included hacking a stray dog with swords continuously at the same spot. This tactic was recently used by some terror groups to attack rivals.
Soon after his arrest, Badusha was handed over to the Tamil Nadu Crime Branch.
The Tamil Nadu police came to know that he was living under a false identity in Kerala after they monitored the cell phone calls of his associates in Tirunelveli, Madurai and Coimbatore.

Six other cases under the Tamil Nadu Public Property (Prevention of Damage and Loss) Act and an assault case against Badusha were filed with the Melapalayam and Perumalpuram police earlier.
Amidst tight security, he was produced before the Tirunelveli Judicial Magistrate-I V. Ramalingam here and lodged in Palayamkottai Central Prison.
