The Thrissur Additional Sessions Court has found businessman Mohammed Nisham, accused of having murdered Chandrabose, the security guard at Shobha City in Thrissur on January 29, 2015, on nine counts including murder.

Additional Sessions Judge K.P. Sudheer is expected to pronounce the sentence later today or a date to be fixed by the Court.

The hearing for the quantum of punishment to be handed down to the accused began in the Court immediately after the judge found Mohammed Nisham guilty of the charges. The prosecution has sought maximum punishment for the accused on the plea that the murder fell into the rarest of the rare category.

However, counsel for the accused pleaded lenience on the ground that Mohammed Nisham's family depended on him.
