Preparations have started in full swing at the Thekke Gopura Nada at Thekkinkadu Maidan here, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the public on December 14.

High security arrangements will be set up in the city and nearby areas. Security personnel, including SPG officials, will monitor the security arrangements in the coming days. With only a few days left for the function, party workers as well as the police and district authorities are working overtime to finish the arrangements on time.

A stage will be set up near the Thekke Gopura Nada, where the VIP pavilions are set up for Thrissur Pooram.

The Prime Minister, who will land in a helicopter at Kuttanellur from Kochi, will reach Thekkinkadu Maidan by road, according to police sources. It will be the only party function for the Prime Minister during his two-day Kerala tour. The District Collector has ordered a ban on helicopters above the Thekkinkadu Maidan and Sri C. Achutha Menon Government College, Kuttanellur, on December 14.
