<i>The Hindu</i> registers impressive growth in Kerala

The Hindu ’s readership has recorded an impressive growth of 13.6 per cent in Kerala in IRS 2012 Q1 over the corresponding quarter in 2011, according to the latest release of the Indian Readership Survey. The newspaper’s current readership in the State is 3,68,000, and it is the market leader among English dailies.

Nationally, The Hindu gained 1,38,000 readers as compared to the corresponding quarter last year — a growth of 5.7 per cent in national readership. The publication’s current Average Issue Readership (AIR) is 22.33 lakh. Thus, The Hindu retains its position as the most-read English daily in South India and the third largest English newspaper nationally.
