SVGV HSS steals the show at arts fete

Emerges winner in high school and higher secondary sections

SVGV Higher Secondary School at Kidangannur, near Aranmula, emerged champions in the high school (159 points) and higher secondary (164 points) sections at the four-day Pathanamthitta revenue district school arts festival, which concluded at Vennikkulam, near Thiruvalla, on Thursday.

St. Philomena’s Upper Primary School at Mallappally with 45 points is the winner in the upper primary section.

The Konni educational sub-district with 309 points was the winner in the HSS section. In the high school section, the Thiruvalla educational sub-district emerged winner with 277 points and the Ranni educational sub-district, with 102 points, won the upper primary section.

Thiruvalla with 268 points and Pathanamthitta with 263 points came second and third in the HSS section. Konni with 236 points and Aranmula with 226 points came second and third in the high school section.

Among the schools, Government HSS, Konni, with 120 points and St. Behenan’s HSS, Vennikkulam, with 108 points came second and third in the HSS section.

In the high school section, St Behenan’s HSS, Vennikkulam, with 103 points and St. Teresa’s Bethany Convent HSS with 92 points came second and third.

NSS English Medium UPS, Pandalam, with 44 points was second in the upper primary section and SVGV Higher Secondary School at Kidangannur came third with 42 points.

Samskritotsav

In the Samskritotsav, SC HSS, Ranni, with 76 points and Government HSS and VHSS, Kalanjoor, with 55 points emerged winners in the high school and upper primary sections respectively.

Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash inaugurated the valedictory function held at Vennikkulam Gopala Kurup Nagar at 9.30 p.m. District panchayat president Saji Chacko presided over the function.
