Sanitation initiatives lauded

: Minister for Panchayats and Social Justice M.K. Muneer said here on Monday that the State had registered major achievement in sanitation activities.

Inaugurating a ‘Swap Fair’ at the Collectorate compound for collection and exchange of scrap materials, the Minister said the Kerala Suchithwa Mission had played an exemplary role in making the recently-held National Games events in the State totally garbage-free. The initiative had drawn national attention, he added.

The Minister also inaugurated a Sanitation Park and a biogas plant.
