The Kerala Police will provide all support to their Karnataka counterparts if they decide to arrest People's Democratic Party chairman Abdul Nasir Maudany, said Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Minister for Home and Vigilance.

He was talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a function held here on Thursday to inaugurate the district jail and video conferencing system for jails and courts in the district.

The State police was officially informed about the move to arrest Mr. Maudany in connection with the Bangalore serial blasts only on Wednesday. Till then, there were only media reports. The Karnataka Police are handling the case and they will decide when to effect the arrest, Mr. Balakrishnan said.
