The government has ordered a Vigilance inquiry on the basis of a report of General Education Secretary Usha Titus on the SSLC Mathematics question paper controversy.

The report, submitted to Minister for Education C. Ravindranath, had recommended further probe into the similarities between the questions in the now-cancelled Mathematics question paper and the questions in the test series prepared by a private institution in Malappuram, and the nexus, if any, between the teacher who prepared the SSLC question paper and the Malappuram institution.

The Education Minister has warned of strict action against those who do not follow Kerala Education Rules Chapter 9 Rule 13 that stipulates that teachers should not take private tuitions. It has come to the government’s notice that this rule is being violated in many parts of the State, a statement here said.
