Soofiya Maudany, arrested in Kochi on Thursday in connection with the Kalamassery bus burning case, will be produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court II, Aluva, in the afternoon. It is yet unclear as to exactly when she will be brought to the court.
There is heavy security, with a large police contingent having been posted in the court premises. The police had been questioning Ms. Maudany, wife of People's Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasir Maudany, following her arrest on Thursday evening.
