Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan will move the High Court seeking a direction for a detailed investigation into the solar scam covering more persons.
Mr. Achuthanandan’s plan is to seek widening of the scope of the ongoing investigation to cover Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s former personal staff members Jikkumon Jacob and Salim Raj and to bring into focus what he terms several aspects of the case that have not been covered by the present investigation.
He raised the issue at the party State secretariat meeting here on Thursday and was permitted to go ahead with his litigation plans. His plea to the High Court would be to oversee the investigation. The Opposition leader has been a strong critic of the government and the investigation team.
