Six students injured in accident at Nenmini

Six students of the IDC English Medium Higher Secondary School, Orumanayur, were injured as the school bus they were travelling in overturned at Nenmini, near Guruvayur, on Monday. The driver of the bus was also injured in the accident.

The accident occurred near Nenmini Post Office at 8 a.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle following some mechanical problems. The students were on their way to write the exams.

The injured were Mohammed Shamim, 12, Salman, 12, Mufeeda, 11, Ridha, 10, Mohammed Shiban, 12 and Rinsha, 11. None of them are critically injured, according to the hospital sources.

The local people and activists of the ACTS, Guruvayur, took the injured to the hospital. There were only six students in the bus.
