Six criminal cases filed against Maudany supporters

The Sasthamcotta Circle Inspector of Police, A.Abhilash, has registered six criminal cases against the leaders of the PDP and supporters of party leader Abdul Nasir Maudany in connection with creating law and order problems at Answarssery.

Four cases pertain to unlawful assembly with rioting and deliberate attempt to obstruct the lawful arrest of Mr. Maudany. It also includes a case for violating the High Court order against creating trraffic obstructions.

One attempt to suicide case has been registered and another case for burning the effigy of the Congress(I) leader, Aryadan Mohammed.
