The Special investigation Team probing the abduction and sexual assault on a woman actor, on Tuesday, raided the residence and office of Pratheesh Chacko, lawyer of Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni, the key accused in the case.
A team lead by K.G. Babu Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Aluva, conducted the raids on the lawyer’s office on Providence Road here and his residence at Chunagamveli at 10.30 a.m. The raids, which followed Suni’s statement to the police that he had handed over the mobile phone containing the actor’s footage to Mr. Chacko, did not yield any results.
The police had seized Suni’s bag from the lawyer’s office and interrogated Mr. Chacko last week. Mr.Chacko was summoned for interrogation after the Kerala High Court dismissed his petition seeking an anticipatory bail.

A senior police officer said the lawyer would be arraigned as an accused in the case if he was found guilty of attempting to conceal the evidence. The cops are of the view that it was Mr.Chacko who had assisted Sunil Kumar in his bid to surrender before the court.
