Shobha Yatras mark Krishna Jayanti

Balagokulam, Veluthampi Dalawa Cultural Forum take out processions

Balagokulam, a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh initiative for addressing children’s moral and ethical development, has celebrated the Sree Krishna Jayanti by taking out Shobha Yatras in different parts of the district on Tuesday.

Children dressed up as Sree Krishna, Gopika, and other characters from the life of Krishna were paraded in all the Shobha Yatras.

Colourful tableaux and chenda melam were part of the processions. Shobha Yatras were held at Mallappally, Adoor, Thiruvalla, Kozhencherry, Ranni, Konni, and Pandalam, besides in all village headquarters.

Veluthampi forum

The Veluthampi Dalawa Cultural Forum and Balasanghom attached to the Communist Party of India (Marxist) at Mannady also celebrated the Sree Krishna Jayanti at Mannady, near Adoor, in the district on Tuesday afternoon.

A large number of children dressed up as Sree Krishna and his concert Radha were paraded in the procession that began from Mudippura Devi Temple and culminated at Pazhayakavu Devi Temple at Mannady.
