Shankar memorial museum will be developed: Minister

Minister for Culture K.C. Joseph has said that the cartoonist Shankar Memorial National Cartoon Museum and Art Gallery would be developed to encourage the active involvement of artists and art connoisseurs.

He was speaking while inaugurating a function to dedicate sculptures that were prepared during a State-level artists’ camp on the museum premises at Kayamkulam on Thursday.

The sculptures were prepared by noted sculptors Ajayan V. Kattunkal, C.S. Biju, A. Guruprasad, V.K. Jayan, M.K. Johnson, V.J. Robert, Rajan Ariyalloor, Rajesh K.R., V. Satheesan and Subhash Vishwanathan, all of whom were selected for various awards instituted by the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi.
