Search for fishermen intensified

The government has intensified the search for the two fishermen who had gone missing at sea near Thottappally (Alappuzha coast) on Friday.

An official release from the Chief Minister’s office here on Saturday said that two ships of the Coast Guard and the Navy were conducting the search operations. An aircraft of the Coast Guard and two teams of the Navy were participating in the search.

The release said that the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had talked to the Defence Minister A. K. Antony to facilitate intensification of the search.
