School children organises unique food fest in Thiruvalla

The Syrian Christian Seminary Higher Secondary School in Thiruvalla has organisd a unique food festival, Ruchi-2012, at Mar Thoma Church auditorium in Thiruvalla on Tuesday.

Dr Joseph Mar Thoma, Metropolitan of Mar Thoma Church, inaugurated the fest in the forenoon.

Mathew T.Thomas, MLA; Sucie George, school principal; Jiji Vattasserril, municipal councilor; Varghese Mammen, lay trustee of Mar Thoma Church; Fr Abraham P.Oommen, Fr P.T.Thomas, and Reginold Varghese, also attended the inaugural function.

According to the principal, the profit earned at the food fest will be utilised for extending a helping hand to the poor and the orphaned people in the society under the `Sneha-karom’ project of the Mar Thoma Church.
