September 04, 2013 03:05 pm | Updated December 04, 2021 11:19 pm IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

A reply received by T.S. Sanalkumar of Pathanamthitta from the Superintendent of the District Jail here on Monday, as per the Right To Information (RTI) Act, states that the solar scam accused Saritha S. Nair had not prepared the confidential statement submitted to court while she was remanded in the Pathanamthitta District Jail.

The superintendent states that Saritha had with her the notes when she was brought to the jail from police custody on July 27. And she had kept it in her custody.

It further says that Saritha had also carried with her the notes to be handed over to her lawyer when she was brought to the jail here from police custody on July 20.

The RTI letter suggests that Saritha might have prepared the statement while she was in police custody, leaving several pertinent questions unanswered.
