The 19th death anniversary of Kathaprasangam artiste V. Sambasivan will be observed here on April 21. The programmes will commence at Sambasivan’s residence here on Tuesday afternoon with the presentation of his famous Kathaprasangam Kumaran Asan by his son Vasanthakumar Sambasivan.
The commemoration meeting, organised by the V. Sambasivan Foundation, will follow and will be inaugurated by writer Ezhacheri Ramachandran.
K.N. Balagopal, MP, Thevannur Maniraj, Ayilam Unnikrishnan, Kundara Soman, Madhu Elamad, and V.M. Rajmohan will speak.
The book V. Sambasivanum Kathaprasangakalavum authored by Prof. Vasanthakumar Sambasivan will be released on the occasion.
On April 23, Comminist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] State unit secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will inaugurate the V. Sambasivan commemoration meeting at Chavara Thekkumbhagam here. The Purogamana Kala Sahithyasangam will organise a function at Chavara.
