“State secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Pinarayi Vijayan is a man who had pawned his soul to corporate houses and murderers,” general secretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) T.J. Chandrachoodan has said.
“Such a person accusing me of pawning my tongue sounds absurd,” he said at a press conference at the RSP district committee office on Tuesday afternoon.
Prof. Chandrachoodan said Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan who went to the house of the slain RMP leader T.P. Chandrashekaran on the day of the Neyyattinkara by-poll could only be called a “Chathiyan Chanthu”.
He said his party did not endorse the CPI(M) stance in the TP murder case. The CPI(M) should divulge the report of a probe conducted by the party in the murder case.
Prof. Chandrachoodan said it was with a heavy heart that the Kerala unit of the RSP severed ties with the LDF. It happened because the RSP had no other go as continuing in the LDF would only be suicidal for the RSP. “The CPI(M) tried using the RSP as ‘bullocks’. The decision taken by the State leadership of the party in this connection is absolutely right,” he said.
The Kollam Lok Sabha seat was not the only reason behind the decision. The CPI(M) had paved the way for the RSP leaving the Left alliance in 1969 too, he said.
