The Cabinet on Thursday decided to grant Rs. 5 lakh each as solatium to the families of two fishermen who were killed by gun fire from Italian ship on Wednesday.
The government will also meet all expenses for preferring legal claims against the owners of the ship, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said in an official release here on Thursday.
The release said that the Cabinet had also decided to recommend to the Governor the convening of the Assembly from March 1.
