RRC at Sreekanteswaram to collect plastic waste

A Resource Recovery Centre (RRC), to collect and segregate plastic waste, was inaugurated at the Sreekanteswaram ward on Saturday.

This is the first such initiative by any local body in the State. The centre was set up in an abandoned cattle shed, renovated by health officials. The collection of dry plastic waste will be done once in two weeks by different residents’ association at identified collection points.
