Review meeting held for MPLAD funds

A review meeting held at the district collectorate on Saturday noted that 88 percent of the local area development fund of P.T. Thomas MP has been utilised during the current financial year. The meeting presided over by District Collector E. Devadasan held that of the 238 projects submitted for the current year, 146 have been completed and the rest were progressing.

The meeting also discussed in detail the progress of the projects submitted for completion and of the Rs 3 crore allotted so far, 2.66 crore has already been spent. The meeting also decided to hold review meetings once in every three months under the block panchayat president and district planning officer.
