Revenue Minister slams LDF

March 15, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 08:12 am IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

The ruckus perpetrated by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the Assembly on Friday was a shame on democratic Kerala, Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash has alleged.

The Minister said here on Saturday that the United Democratic Front had appeared in the Assembly strictly adhering to the democratic decency to exercise the Constitutional obligation of presenting the budget.

He alleged that the way the LDF members behaved in Assembly was revolting, ultimately insulting the very institution of democracy. They went on a rampage in the Speaker’s chamber, destroying anything and everything there. Keeping the women MLAs as a shield, the LDF tried to assault even Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, who was seated on his chair, he alleged.
