Registration for guidance programme begins

The Hindu-EducationPlus will organise a guidance- cum- orientation programme in Thiruvalla on June 5 for those seeking admission to professional courses after Plus Two.

This is the first time that The Hindu is organising such a programme in central Travancore to guide students aspiring for professional courses through a career guidance session.

Mar Thoma Residential School will host the event to be held from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Experts in education and career guidance will lead the sessions, detailing courses and choices, sessions on the professional streams and more.

In addition to Thiruvalla, the programme is being held in Thiruvananthapuram (May 30), Kochi (May 29), Kozhikode (May 27), Kannur (June 9) and Manjeri (June 10). The registration for the programme started on Wednesday.

In Thiruvalla, registration can be done in person between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at The Hindu counter to be opened at the Mar Thoma Residential School auditorium on May 27 and 28 on paying a fee of Rs.50.

Candidates can provisionally register names online at eptiruvalla@thehindu.co.in and the registration fee should be paid at a counter to be opened on June 5 morning. A handbook with information on various courses will be provided to each participant.

The session will focus on the strategies relating to the online seat allotment process conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and provide an overview of the key courses.
