Kerala panel recommends superannuation at 58

The Kerala Public Expenditure Review Committee has recommended raising of the retirement age of State employees and teaching and non-teaching staff of private aided educational institutions and autonomous bodies such as universities from 56 to 58 years.

The two payments together constituted 48.69 per cent of the total expenditure, resulting in acute resource crunch, the report pointed out.
