Vasudevananda Brahmananda Bhoothi, who was recently made the Thekkemadom Mooppil Swamiyar, was on Thursday installed as the Pushpanjali Swami of Sree Vadakkunnathan Temple.

Tantris Puliyannur Sankaranayanan Namboodiripad and Jayanthan Namboodiripad led the installation ceremony. Around 8 a.m., a ceremonial procession was taken from Thekke Madom to the temple. Cochin Devaswom Board president M.P. Bhaskaran Nair received Mooppil Swaiyar with ‘purnakumbham’ at the temple. Thiruvambady Devaswom representative M. Madhavankutty, C. Vijayan, Devaswom Board secretary V. Rajalakshmi, member E.A. Rajan, Temple Kshema Samithy members T.K. Devanarayanan, T.R. Hariharan, M.G. Pramod and Sreekumar Mangat were present.
