Activists of the Youth Congress and the Kerala Students' Union on Thursday took out a demonstration in the town to protest against the arrest of All-India Congress Committee general secretary Rahul Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh. The demonstration taken out from the Gandhi Square was led by Youth Congress State general secretary J.G. Palakalodi. The activists later burnt Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati in effigy.
