Prof. Madhava Panicker endowment lecture on March 26

An endowment speech to honour noted cultural and social activist and academician of eminence T. C. Madhava Panicker would be held at the Government College here on March 26.

The function, hosted by the former Principal of the Government College and by Prof. Panicker’s students will be followed by the award presentation, which would be presented by N. A. Nellikunnu, local MLA at the seminar hall of the institution.

The endowment speech by Dr. Kamalakshan Kokkal, Joint Director of the Science Technology and Environmental Council, Thiruvananthapuram, would focus on the acute drinking water scarcity faced by Kasaragod town and adjoining localities and means proposed to resolve the vexed issue, an official release here said.

The function would be attended by B. Bhattia, former College Education Director and College Principal P. R. Remani.

K. B. Vinod Kumar, the first rank holder of the M.Sc., Geology stream and B. S. Preetha, the best student of the B.Sc., Geology stream of the previous batch would be given away award to honour for bringing academic excellence, the programme Convenor V. Gopinathan said.
