Kerala Water Resources Minister N.K. Premachandran has said the government would consider approaching an expert scientific agency to conduct a study on the level of pollution in the Pampa river if the State-level studies throw up conflicting results.
Responding to a calling attention motion moved by the Congress member K. Sivadasan Nair in the Assembly on Friday, Mr. Premachandran said the government had pollution levels in the river, particularly the presence of coliform bacteria, studied by the Kerala State Pollution Control Board, the Government Analytical Laboratory and the Kerala Water Authority.
