A 60-year old pilgrim, identified as Balaraman of Feroke in Kozhikode, died of heart attack at the Cardiology Centre at Appachimedu on Tuesday afternoon. According to Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sanghom stretcher service captain Thanchavur Damodaran, the pilgrim had developed chest pain while climbing the steep Appachimedu hill on the Pampa-Sannidhanam path. The ABASS volunteers rushed him to the nearby Cardiology Centre where he breathed his last in the next few minutes. The volunteers shifted the body to Pampa from where it was taken to Feroke in an ambulance, later. — Special Correspondent
