The District Medical Officer has urged the people to take precautionary measures against H1N1 disease as it has been reported in Adimaly, Muttom and Upputhara areas in the district.
Those at risk
Pregnant women and children should avoid visiting those who are affected or have shown symptoms of the disease as they are the ones who get affected by the disease mostly. He said that there was no shortage of medicine for treating the patients and the district, taluk, Community Health Centres and Primary Health Centres were supplied with enough medicines.
Symptoms
Those who are suspected to have shown the symptoms should consult a doctor, he said adding that it could easily affect pregnant women as they were in the stage of hormone changes. If breathing problems or body developed weakness, they should immediately consult a physician, he said.
