Pension age hike move flayed by DYFI

The State leadership of the DYFI and the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha have criticised the Kerala Public Expenditure Review Committee’s recommendation that retirement age be pegged at 58 years.

In a statement here on Tuesday, the DYFI State secretariat said the committee’s recommendation was the result of the clandestine attempts being made by the United Democratic Front (UDF) government to increase the retirement age of State employees and teachers in total disregard for the fact that the State had the highest number of educated unemployed in the country.
