Normal life in the district is bound to hit all modes of public transport. Vehicles would keep off the roads while shops and business houses in the district would remain closed in view of the hartal. Meanwhile, the police have stepped up vigil in places like Manjeshwaram, Uppala, Karadukka and Badiyaduka where the PDP workers have decided to hold demonstrations later in the day to protest the arrest of their party leader.
