Patient found hanging at Kottayam Medical College hospital

A patient of the Kottayam Medical College Hospital was found hanging here on Tuesday.

According to the police, the deceased Prabhakaran (26) was admitted to the hospital on May 14 after having complained of illness. His body was found hanging in the bathroom of the pay-ward in the hospital by his younger brother, who was the sole bystander of the patient. The incident was reported to the police by around 6.45 a.m.

Prabhakaran hailed from the Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu. According to the police, he was pursuing his education in Kerala. The post-mortem was conducted at the Medical College Hospital. The police had registered a case.
