98th Central Travancore convention to end on Thursday

The Metropolitan of the Thumpamon diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church, Kuriakose Mar Cleemis, inaugurates the 98th Central Travancore Orthodox Christian meet on the St. Stephen’s Cathedral premises at Makkamkunnu, near Pathanamthitta, on Sunday.

The Metropolitan of the Thumpamon diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church, Kuriakose Mar Cleemis, inaugurated the 98th Central Travancore Orthodox Christian Convention on the St. Stephen’s Cathedral premises at Makkamkunnu, near here, on Sunday.

Youhanon Mar Discorus, Metropolitan of the Chennai diocese of the Church, was the chief celebrant of a Holy Eucharist celebrated at the Cathedral in the morning.

Rev. Yakoob Corepiscopa Ramban, Rev. P.N. Paul Ramban, Rev. Peter Thomas Ramban, and Rev. Younan Samuel Ramban were the co-celebrants.

Mar Diascorus inaugurated a children’s meet.

The Catholicos of the East and the Malankara Metropolitan, Moran Mor Baselius Mar Thoma Paulose-II, will deliver the benedictory speech at an evangelical meet to be held on Tuesday.

Kuriakose Mar Cleemis will preside over the meeting and Zacharias Mar Aprem Metropolitan will deliver the introductory speech.

The annual religious convention will come to a close with a Holy Eucharist on Thursday.
