One person was killed and five were injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus near Punnapra on the National Highway-47 here in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to the police, Ashraf, 31, was killed on the spot while five others sustained grievous injuries after the car collided with the bus about 2 a.m. Police, Fire and Rescue personnel and the local public had to toil for over an hour to extricate Ashraf's body from the car and to help the other passengers out of the mangled car.
