Offensive message to BJP leader: case filed

The police have registered a case in connection with messages of threat to the life of BJP State general secretary K. Surendran. On a complaint filed by BJP district president Sureshkumar Shetty, the Town Police on Wednesday registered a case under section 66-A of IT Act 2000.The complaint refers to messages on WhatApp regarding a telephonic conversation between two persons that a team from a Gulf State was planning to leave for Kerala with an intention to endanger the life of Mr. Surendran. –Staff Reporter
