North-East monsoon weak over Kerala

North-East monsoon has been weak over Kerala. Rain occurred at isolated places in Kerala and Lakshadweep.

According to meteorology sources here, Mannarkkad 2 and Minicoy 1 cm rainfall respectively.

Kannur, Thiruvananthapuram airport and city recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 31 degree celsius. CIAL Kochi, Kannur, Kottayam and Vellanikkara recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 23 degree celsius.

Forecast valid until the morning of November 9, rain or thunder showers will occur at many places in Kerala and at a few places in Lakshadweep.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Kerala during next 48 hours.

Fishermen warning: Strong onshore winds from North-Westernly direction speed occasionally reaching 45-55 KMPH is likely along off Kerala coast and over Lakshadweep area during next 24 hours, outlook no significant change.
