Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan on Wednesday said there were no dispute between him and Transport Minister Aryadan Mohammed.
He said media reports about an argument between them at a Cabinet meeting were false.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Radhakrishnan said details of the meeting worth mentioning had been disclosed by the Chief Minister. However, the Ministers were not authorised to comment on such meetings.
Regarding the Data Centre case, Mr. Radhakrishnan said all related matters were explained by the Chief Minister. He, however, added that an inquiry could be initiated, if necessary, to probe whether he had provided any undue favour as was being alleged.
Responding to allegations regarding his ties with businessman T.G. Nandakumar, Mr. Radhakrishnan said it was natural for public workers to have friends of various kinds. He dismissed allegations that Mr. Nandakumar was a messenger he had sent to speak on his behalf with the leadership of the Nair Service Society. He said the NSS leadership would be able to confirm his stance regarding the allegation.
The Home Minister said the government had not gone out of its way to provide assistance to Salim Raj, former gunman of the Chief Minister, who was arrested in a kidnapping case and also allegedly involved in land grab cases. Mr. Radhakrishnan added that the government would never protect Salim Raj.
